Champagne Jean Pol Hautbois was established in the charming village of Pévy located right in the heart of Massif de St Thierry some five generations ago.The name Pévy comes from the Latin "Pes Vitis", which means "at the foot of the vines".
Jean Pol Hautbois arrived in the vineyard in 1971 and went on to create the Champagne Jean Pol Hautbois brand in 1976. A truly committed wine-maker, Jean Pol manages his vineyard with passion and dedication while constantly seeking improvement in all aspects of his work.
Now working closely with his children, the whole family is resolute in their determination to continue the work of winemaking with the same vigour, combining innovation with family tradition to grow their brand and preserve the quality of their wines. The family-run vineyard cultivates six hectares of vines on a terroir with three varieties of Champagne grapes: Pinot Meunier (55%), Pinot Noir (25%) and Chardonnay (20), each bringing its own very distinctive characteristics.
